Questions about karaoke
What do I need for karaoke?
A PC or laptop with Windows 10 or 11, internet, a screen for the lyrics and a microphone on your sound system. BackSound Karaoke plays the music and shows the lyrics; the microphone and amplifier are part of your own setup. Need help connecting it? Call us on +31 88 425 9888.
Does it work on a Mac, tablet or phone?
No. BackSound Karaoke is an app for Windows 10 and 11. The BackSound Stream player itself does work on any device.
Is it the real song or a karaoke version?
The real song, as you know it, just without the vocals. Turn the vocal slider all the way up and you hear the song as it was released.
Is karaoke included with STREAM?
No. Karaoke comes with STREAM PRO and STREAM PRO + PC. If you have STREAM, you switch to STREAM PRO in My account.
Do I need a licence for karaoke?
For music in your venue you arrange a licence from Buma/Stemra and Sena yourself via mijnlicentie.nl; it is not included in the subscription. Ask them what karaoke means for your licence.
